This used to be my daily driver. It was sold to make way for the Viper. It's a 2001 Z06 Corvette. I purchased it from it's original owner. It had 8000 miles on it when I bought it, and was in perfect condition. I put 20,000 more miles on it and have enjoyed it thoroughly. It saw its fair share of autocross events as well as long trips to Julian, Palm Springs, etc. It never let me down, and has always shown the other guy it's sexy black rear end. Visit the Corvette's History page to see all of the steps along the way.
Exterior: The rear end has been painted semi-gloss black by the original owner to mimick the old C5R's. I absolutely love it. I tinted the reverse lights, flush mounted the Euro-style tail lights and put in a sequential flasher for the turn signals. I also put on Euro side markers (they're yellow instead of red), tinted the windows and lowered the car by about an inch. The wheels are Motorsport wheels, stock sizes and the tires are Nitto 555 RII's. The stripes have been removed since these photos. I liked the stripes a lot, but the shrunk. :(

Interior: The Interior is stock with the exception of Auger Resources' Shift Boot, E-Brake Boot and Padded Armrest Cover (all black with yellow stitching) and a Delrin Hardbar Shift Knob (a duplicate of the shift knobs used in the C5R's).

Mechanical: The Z06 dynoed at 368rwhp and 369rwhtrq. I have a Vararam Air Intake, TPIS ceramic coated long tube headers, Random Technologie's X-Pipe and high flow cats, GHL exhaust and Direct Hits Ignition system. For brakes, I have swapped on a set of two piece Baer Brakes slotted rotors up front, and one piece slotted rotors in the rear.
