This
was one of my favorite projects. The impressionist style clusters of flowers
were really fun to do and I liked the sense of depth from the different elements.
When I was in high school I started taking on commisioned painting jobs. It
was a really good experience for working with people and figuring out what they
wanted. It was also really cool to go into people's houses and paint on their
walls and furniture!

This
was the first of several jobs I did for the same person. Really simple, thin
little bow but I think it filled the wall space and tied the two prints together
nicely.

This
was on an antique armoire. It was a really simple, elegant piece. Click the

This
went on the wall in the little girl's bedroom that the cottage painted dresser
went in. The flowers matched the bedding in the room. Click the image for a

This
was done to match the wallpaper border in the room. There was one bow over each
of two beds. Click on the image for larger views.
These
grape vines went all the way around the kitchen. I had to climb around on ladder,
cabinets, whatever I could, to reach everything!
This
ivy was fun to paint. I really like wild, squiggly lines. I also did a cluster
of ivy above a picture frame in the same room.
This
was a picnic basket that was custom painted for a wedding present. On the inside
of the lid is the wedding date and more flowers.
