This was my first project in which I made a pattern and built a piece from scratch. I learned a lot of things from this project; I learned that drawers are more difficult than they look and that pine looks pink when you put reddish brown stain on it! The down side of getting your lumber at the major hardware stores - you can't always get everything you need in the same type of wood. The corners are poplar, the front and top are pine, and the sides are plywood with a red oak veneer.
